Pair 9/30: red tipped handspun socks for my Valentine.
Socks, both finished and in progress, are on Ravelry here.
When my original plan for a pair of Valentine socks for my partner was a 2x fail in the sizing department, I decided to bust out a pair of heavier weight, handspun socks instead. I was only a week late in getting them finished. Because of sizing issues, again…but these ones fit perfectly.
The yarn is handspun, chain plied Superwash Merino from the Spunky Eclectic Fiber Club in Summer’s End. I wouldn’t knit SW Merino socks for myself, but they’re perfect for the recipient. I knit the pair at a pretty dense gauge for DK weight yarn so I’m thinking the socks will wear pretty well. For a finewool– Ravelled here.
