looking forward, looking back

Happy New Year!
I’m not really a new years resolution kind of person. I think waiting in line for a treadmill at the gym the first couple weeks of every new year makes me a bit cynical about that sort of resolution. Who knows–

That said…in 2014 I set a goal of blogging 1x a week and I stuck to that pretty closely. I hope you enjoyed them.

I’m looking forward to upping my game in 2015.

Basically, blogging more frequently–more like 3-5 times a week, publishing patterns and articles, maybe doing a little topical podcasting, interviews and book reviews, doing some knitting related tourism, taking some classes, launching a handspun shop, and self publishing some patterns. Learning more about the wool world, basically.

I’d love to collaborate on a project with a fiber supplier or another designer, too. Work toward some of these goals are already in progress; others, not so much…so I feel moderately confident on my follow through on at least some of them!

So what happened in 2014?
2014 was the year of the sweater, where post popularity was concerned.

My most popular post was Sweater Story: Rook. This is my favorite knit of last year, too. I’m wearing it right now.

#fringeandfriendsknitalong came second. I’m so excited about this one–I’m approaching joining the sleeves and body.

Sweater Diary: Drangey came third. The baby Gotland I used for the body is stunning–it’s gained a silvery nimbus of a halo with wear. This one still needs a Sweater Story post for the FO. I have a passel of FO posts that need shooting right now–I won’t be lacking for content for awhile.

#4: Combospun Bedford. This one has also been finished since summer and needs a photo shoot and Sweater Diary post. I love combospins.

I’ve got more sweaters in the works to share in 2015!
