Slow spinning.
Spindle spun. Laceweight. Merino and Yak.

Spending a few minutes over the past 8 months, before bed each night, with a bit of beautifully dyed and prepared fiber and my favorite little turkish spindle.

This is the sort of handspun that made we want to take up spinning in the first place.

It’s Spunky Eclectic 60% Merino/40% Yak. I ended up with about 480 yards of laceweight 2 ply–spinning details on Ravelry.

  1. Gorgeous! What a treat to spin every night. Love the end result and your documentation of it.

  2. This is beautiful! It reminds me of how much it is worth the wait when spindling on tiny turks 😛
